The Ways Digital Marketing is Changing

Digital marketing is one of the most prevalent and effective types of marketing out there today. Almost every company uses it in some regard, and it is a broad term for many different types of marketing channels and strategies. Spending on digital advertising and marketing is expected to skyrocket in the upcoming few years.
However, growth in spending is far from the only thing that is changing in the digital marketing space. There are several trends, innovations, and other things that are changing the landscape of the digital marketing space. With the mind, this article is going to take a closer look at a couple of those changes.
1. The Increased Use of Artificial Intelligence
While A.I has seemingly become the most critical buzz word in almost every industry, it does have the potential to change digital marketing forever. There is no doubting the artificial intelligence role in digital media, such as explained here. Artificial intelligence is capable of taking over many mundane and straightforward tasks or jobs, of which there are many.
One of the most uses of Artificial intelligence (AI) for companies and marketers alike are chatbots. These will cut down the amount you need to spend on customer service personnel, while also delivering immediate help and answers to your customers. However, this is only one of the dozens of different areas that A.I could have a significant impact on digital marketing.
2. The Growing Popularity of Voice Search
While most of us still search the internet with our keyboard or phone, this is beginning to change. More people are searching the web with their voices. With people leading busy lives, the convenience of voice search is beneficial. Using voice assistants to answer questions or find results is increasing rapidly.
As you could imagine, this provides some difficult challenges for marketers. When most people search Google manually, they are given pages of results and often scan a couple of the top results. But when searching with voice, only the top result is given. Because of this, marketers need to ensure that their result is the top result, or it won’t show up in voice search. Going forward, marketers will have to optimize their content for voice search via using natural language in a conversational style.
3. A Greater Focus on Native Advertising
Ads are standard on nearly every website on the internet today. While they make companies money, many internet users don’t like to see ads. They can disrupt the look and flow of a page, and take away from the content. However, that is not always the case thanks to native advertising.
Native advertising is the type of paid ads that match the look and feel of the site or platform they are on. They don’t often look like an ad and flow seamlessly with the page they are on. Because it is less-disruptive to readers and looks and fits better on most pages, look for native advertising to continue to be more prevalent going forward.
In conclusion, we hope that this article has helped you learn a little more about the ways that digital marketing is changing.
